  3. INTRODUCTION

  5. Thank you for using the Bible 456 program.
  6. This program is part of the Super Bible Kids 
  7. Series software.  As with other Kidvision 
  8. Software programs, the Bible 456 program 
  9. is intended to educate young children about
  10. numbers and the Bible through colorful pictures 
  11. and music.  Kids are able to learn the Bible 
  12. while having fun learning to use the 
  13. computer, with the mouse and keyboard 
  14. to play the games.  The selected songs are popular 
  15. Bible songs which are fun and easy to learn.

  18. INSTALLATION
  19.  
  20. The program disk comes with an automatic setup 
  21. program that will install the Bible 456 game
  22. in your Windows(TM) Program Manager.  The program
  23. comes with its own icons.  After installation, you 
  24. can move the icons to any program group you prefer.  
  25. The default directory for the setup program is 
  26. c:\BibleKid.  If you want to change the directory, 
  27. you are allowed to do so during the setup 
  28. procedures.

  30. To run the setup program, you must follow these
  31. procedures:
  32.  
  33. 1. Insert program disk into drive a:\ or b:\
  34. 2. At Program Manager, select File and choose Run
  35. 3. Type a:\setup or b:\setup
  36. 4. Then follow the on-screen instructions.

  39. HARDWARE REQUIREMENTS
  40.  
  41. IBM or compatible computer with a 80286 or faster 
  42. processor.  EGA, VGA or SVGA monitor.  Windows 3.1 
  43. or higher (or Windows 3.0 with multi-media extension)
  44. with 2 M Byte of RAM memory (min.). A mouse is a must.  
  45. The program will play all sound and music through 
  46. your sound card.

  49. INSTRUCTIONS
  50.  
  51. The Bible 456 program is a very user-friendly
  52. program which requires minimal computer knowledge 
  53. to play.  However, children under the age 
  54. of 3 may need to be guided by an adult.

  58.     To start the program
  59.  
  60. At the Windows Program Manager screen, double-click
  61. the Bible 456 icon in the Super Bible Kids group.
  62. An introduction screen will come up to display 
  63. several messages and music will be played in the
  64. background.  The main program screen will then be 
  65. displayed.  If you are in the Super Bible Kids Main 
  66. Menu screen, click the Bible 456 button to go to 
  67. the program.

  71.     To select the picture group to display
  72.  
  73. Using the mouse, click the picture group buttons
  74. to select Biblical, Animals or Objects.  The child
  75. can change the selection at any time during the
  76. game by simply clicking the other buttons.

  79.     To start the game
  80.  
  81. Using the mouse or keyboard, select the "Start Play" 
  82. button.  A randomly selected number of pictures 
  83. will be displayed on screen. A realistic voice will 
  84. identify the content of the picture.  The name of 
  85. the object/character in the picture will also appear 
  86. in the text box.

  89.     To match the correct number of pictures
  90.  
  91. A test label will be displayed at the conclusion
  92. of the picture display requesting the child to pick
  93. the number corresponding to the number of pictures 
  94. on the screen.  Using the mouse or keyboard, the 
  95. child selects the number.  If a correct match is
  96. made, a "Yes" sound will come out together with a
  97. note of congratulations.  Then a portion of a Bible 
  98. song will be played in the background.  If an incorrect 
  99. match is made, a trumpet sound will play, followed by
  100. a note to ask the child to try again.

  104.     To see information about the picture
  105.  
  106. An additional feature of the Bible 456 program
  107. allows the child to click the pictures on
  108. the screen to display written information about
  109. the pictures.  (A text box will come up on the 
  110. screen to briefly explain what the picture is.)

  113.     To get help information about the program
  114.  
  115. Using the mouse, click the "Help" button (?) to 
  116. display this 456help.txt file on screen.  You can also 
  117. print a copy of this help.txt file using the Windows 
  118. Notepad, Write or other word processing softwares.

  121.     To stop the music
  122.  
  123. Using the mouse, click the "Stop Music" button.  You 
  124. can also hit the "Enter" or "Space Bar" in the keyboard
  125. to stop the music.

  128.     To exit the program
  129.  
  130. Just click the "Exit" button (Stop sign).  The 
  131. program will return you to the Program Manager.

  134.     To play other Super Bible Kids games
  135.  
  136. The "Main Menu" button allows you to access other 
  137. Super Bible Kids games.  Click this button and the 
  138. Super Bible Kids main menu will display.  If you do not 
  139. have other games installed, clicking the uninstalled 
  140. game buttons will display a message indicating that 
  141. you have not installed those games.  (For your 
  142. information, we are planning more than eight 
  143. games in the Super Bible Kids series.)

  146.     To order the full version or other programs
  147.  
  148. If your program is a shareware version, only less 
  149. than half of the picture groups will be activated.  
  150. For a fully-functional version, call Kidvision Software
  151. to order or print the Register.wri file using the 
  152. Windows(TM) Write program.   Attached a check or 
  153. money order with the register form  and send it to 
  154. the address below.  Your program(s) will be shipped as 
  155. soon as your order has been received.
